Spain can solve the final ticket in the Schlager against England

In the Nations-League top match against England, Spain’s team boss Luis Enrique again relies on Dortmund-Joker Paco Alcacer. Iceland threatens to relegate Switzerland prematurely.

Sevilla – Spain can advance today in Sevilla with a home success over the World Cup fourth England to the first group winner of the Nations League. After a 2-1 win on the island and a 6-0 home triumph over runners-up Croatia, the Iberians lead with a maximum of six points. England and Croatia, on the other hand, have only one point after the 0-0 win on Friday evening in Rijeka.

Spain striker Paco Alcacer has recently been a scorer and will continue his series against the English. For his club Borussia Dortmund, the 25-year-old scored six Joker goals in less than 100 minutes, then celebrated his return to the national team, where he promptly scored twice again and let his team cheer. “It’s a little bit of everything: luck, self-confidence, the coach’s confidence, stakes and above all the daily work,” Alcacer commented on his current success story.

“What we currently see of him is a miracle”.

Luis Enrique is enthusiastic about his goalgetter. “Alcacer is currently a huge player because he is in a phase that players rarely reach,” said the Spanish coach, who has played as a professional for many years for the top clubs Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Although Diego Costa scored three goals in four games at the World Cup in Russia, the Spaniards missed a striker like Alcacer in the middle of their midst. “What we see of him at the moment is a miracle,” the team boss praised.

While the Spaniards are back on track after the last 16 in Russia, England, like Croatia, are back on track after the celebrated World Cup semi-final. The “Three Lions” also have to worry about remaining in the top category. The goalless draw in the “ghost game” in Croatia was recently also an expression of the blatant weakness of England’s strikers at the end.

“We’d be more worried if we weren’t going to play out these chances,” Southgate put into perspective. But the fact is that in the four games since the semi-final in Russia, only two goals have been scored. If Spain are not defeated, the final in the Nations League and thus the next title dream is over. Karamba Casino features live-stream card and table games, as well as online slots gaming.

A decision can also be made in Reykjavik on Monday evening. Should the Icelanders not win their home game against Switzerland, they would be prematurely relegated to the top league, after they had slipped into a 6-0 debacle at the opening match in St. Gallen and three days later lost 3-0 in front of their own audience against Belgium, third at the World Cup.

Herzog victorious for the second time with Israel, Russia before advancement

After a 2-0 defeat of Albania, the Israelis are now leaders in League C. Italy beat Poland 1-0 thanks to a last-minute goal, and the Russians can also cheer.

Vienna, Sochi – Team boss Andreas Herzog is with the Israeli national team in the Football Nations League thanks to the second victory within four days on the rise. The Israelis defeated Albania 2-0 in Beer Sheva on Sunday and lead Group 1/Liga C with 6 points ahead of Scotland and Albania (3 each). Italy (Liga A) defeated Poland 1-0, relegating Lewandowski and Co. to the second place.

Italy, only spectators at the World Cup in summer, prevented the next setback in Chorzow thanks to a last-minute goal. The “Squadra Azzurra” won thanks to a goal from Cristiano Biraghi in the 92nd minute and thus kept the chance to win the group. Italy will need a home win over leaders Portugal on 17 November in Milan.

The Italians had a strong first half. Roberto Mancini’s side dominated the match, but missed some good chances and had bad luck twice when Jorginho hit the crossbar in the first minute and Lorenzo Insigne (30th). After the break, the Poles held up better, but Italy still had the giant chance to take the lead, which Leonardo Bernardeschi lost per head (71.). On the other side Kamil Grosicki and Arkadiusz Milik failed only one minute later with a double chance.

In Beer Sheva, Israel goalkeeper Ariel Harush was match winner for Herzog’s squad with two strong actions in the initial phase. Harush parried a header from Bekim Balaj (7th) with a great reflex on the line and a minute later, he opened the lead. He put a wide kick right into the run of Tomer Hemed, who pulled up all by himself and shot past the goalkeeper from a good 20 meters (8th). Dia Seba fixed the victory in the final (83.) after Salzburg striker Munas Dabbur had missed a big chance three minutes before.

Herzog had lost the first two games of his tenure with Israel, including a 1-0 defeat of Albania in the Nations League. A 2-1 win against Scotland last Thursday brought the selection of Austria’s record team players back into the promotion game, and Israel now have a final for a place in the second-rate League B. Herzog and his squad will draw against Scotland in Glasgow on 20 November to secure first place.

Russia – Turkey 2:0

After two wins and a draw, Russia is allowed to flirt with promotion to the highest league. The “Sbornaja”, surprisingly quarter-finalist at the home World Cup in summer, defeated Turkey 2-0 (1-0) at the Olympic Stadium in Sochi. With three points, the Turks can’t be first any more, Sweden (1) has even less theoretical chances with one game. Check out GrandWild for more details about their promotions.

Roman Neustädter brought the team of team boss Stanislaw Tschertschessow into the lead in the 20th minute with a poacher’s goal after a corner ball. World Cup hero Denis Cheryshev made the preliminary decision (78th) seven minutes after his substitution in the counter after Alexander Golovin had given in.

In the other early Sunday games, Azerbaijan, like Kosovo in the Faroe Islands, were unable to beat Malta 1-1 at home. Serbia, who outnumbered more than a half, also suffered a setback in the goalless draw in Romania.

ÖFB-Reservist Dragovic helpless: “I always want to play”

Dragovic could not agree with the opinion of team boss Foda that, with the exception of Hinteregger, no current ÖFB defender is in full play at the moment.

Vienna – The situation of Aleksandar Dragovic in the Austrian national football team has changed. Under team boss Marcel Koller, the Viennese had been an integral part of the regular formation for many years, but since Franco Foda took office, the central defender has no longer been in the role of defence chief. Sebastian Prödl has moved into this position in recent months.

Dragovic, on the other hand, was no longer in the ÖFB’s starting eleven in the three international matches since the 3-0 defeat against Brazil in Vienna in June – the Leverkusen professional himself doesn’t really know why. “I always want to play, that’s my claim. I can only give the best in training, at the end of the day the coach decides,” said the 27-year-old on Sunday in Vienna.

“Of course I’m disappointed”.

While Dragovic has played for Bayer in seven of the ten season’s compulsory games so far, Prödl is holding a club-level match this season. Nevertheless, the Styrian formed the central defence together with Martin Hinteregger in the 1-0 win against Northern Ireland.

Dragovic, on the other hand, was only exchanged in the 90th minute to secure the narrow lead. “Of course I was disappointed, you could see that too. But now it’s time to look forward,” said the 67-times international (1 goal). “If I wasn’t disappointed, I’d have to hang my shoes on the nail immediately.”

Dragovic could not agree with Foda’s opinion that, with the exception of Hinteregger, no current ÖFB centre back is in full play at the moment. “I’m in rhythm, full of juice and have performed well at Leverkusen.”

Midfield place as an option

Most recently, Dragovic was in the defensive central midfield in a 0-0 draw against Freiburg, a position he was not unfamiliar with. “I’m a skilled midfielder, played in midfield for Austria until I was 18,” said the Germany regional, affirming that he felt “very good” in his role against Freiburg. Dragovic suspected that he could benefit from this flexibility both in the club and in the team.

His wish for more national team appearances from the beginning should be fulfilled at least on Tuesday, because some changes are to be expected in the test match in Herning against Denmark. But even if the ÖFB selection doesn’t compete against the World Cup last sixteen team in the top line-up, that doesn’t change the objective, Dragovic stressed. “Every game is important for us. We want to develop and always win”.

A hit against Denmark in the starting eleven?

Besides the ex-Austrian, Xaver Schlager could also get a chance in the starting eleven. “If it happens, then it happens, then I’m happy. But I have no expectations that I will play,” said the Salzburg professional. The 21-year-old approaches the matter relatively relaxed. “As a youngster you need patience,” said Schlager. “You have to dig in, step on the gas and perform.

This general carefreeness probably contributed to the strong appearances of the midfielder in the past months. “You shouldn’t put so much pressure on yourself, otherwise you won’t perform. The most important thing is to stay calm in the game and look for good solutions.”

Schlager would still be eligible for the ÖFB U21 selection, which will play the decisive match against Russia on Tuesday for a European Championship play-off participation. The five-time team player, like Maximilian Wöber and Konrad Laimer, who were seconded from the A team, would have liked to help his contemporaries and therefore sought dialogue with Foda. “But he said he needed me for the Denmark game.” When you play JackpotJoy and refer a friend you will receive a £20 extra bonus.
